K. Nail Usluel
Mr. K. Nail Usluel is the Chairman Emeritus and the founder of Usluel Inc.
Mr. Usluel is setting the company's strategic direction, working on staffing of key positions,
and resolving operational issues. He is providing technical and management oversight based on
44 years of experience in the design, engineering, manufacturing, construction, and turnkey
project delivery of 34.5kV/154kV/220kV/380kV Overhead Transmission Lines, Distribution Networks,
Power Plant Construction, Transformer Centers, and Switching Substations.
Prior to Usluel, Mr. Usluel worked at Betontas, Demas, and Iller Bank as
coordinator and engineer; and was responsible for project management, quality, and on-time
performance for energy projects.
Mr. K. Nail Usluel received his M.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1958 from Istanbul
Technical University, Turkey, and his B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1957 fron the same
university.
Emin N. Usluel
Mr. Emin N. Usluel is the Chairman of the Board at Usluel.
Mr. Usluel is setting objectives, policies, and priorities in response to changes in current
internal and external conditions. He is providing direction to company's finance and accounting,
planning and legal, and administrative support functions. Mr. Usluel is also providing technical
and management oversight based on 32 years of experience in the design, engineering, manufacturing,
construction, and turnkey project delivery of 34.5kV/154kV/220kV/380kV Overhead Transmission Lines,
Distribution Networks, Power Plant Construction, Transformer Centers, and Switching Substations.
Mr. Emin N. Usluel received his M.S. in Civil Engineering in 1969 from Istanbul
Technical University, Turkey, and his B.S. in Civil Engineering in 1968 from the same university
Ali Kartal Usluel
Mr. Ali Kartal Usluel is the President of Usluel. Mr. Usluel is providing strategic
and operational direction to line operating units, such as engineering, construction, project management,
and business development. He is working with the Board of Directors in establishing strategic objectives,
and operating policies and procedures to ensure attainment of corporate objectives.
Mr. Ali Kartal Usluel is responsible for the energy, transportation and telecommunications activities of
the Usluel. He managed the turnkey engineering, procurement, construction, and provisioning of
8 Substation projects, at 154kV and 380kV, with total capacity of 675 MVA, over 1,000 kilometers of
high-voltage transmission lines, GSM network installations of 4 Turkish cities, and various other
telecommunications and transportation projects.
Mr. Ali Kartal Usluel received his M.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1987 from
Syracuse Unibversity, USA, and his M.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1985 from Middle East
Technical University, Turkey.
K. Kagan Usluel
Mr. K. Kagan Usluel is the Vice President for Construction and Services.
Mr. Usluel is working with the Board of Directors and the General Manager in meeting the strategic
corporate objectives. He is responsible for the land development and construction activities of the Usluel,
and the overall Quality and ISO 9000 activities for the Company. Mr. Usluel completed two housing
construction projects valued at US$ 37,000,000, and phase 1 of the US$138 million Euro-A Grade Hotel
and Office Complex in Poland.
Mr. K. Kagan Usluel received his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1992 from Middle
East Tecnical University.
Degerhan Usluel
Mr. Degerhan Usluel is an entrepreneur with extensive experience and
success in start-up, development, and growth stage technology businesses.
He has a proven track record of building winning products and companies. He is the Vice President for
Advanced Technologies.
Mr. Usluel is responsible for the advanced technology, SCADA, energy management,
and information technology activities of the Usluel. He is setting the strategic growth targets
of the Company in these areas, and providing operational direction to line operating units.
Mr. Degerhan Usluel co-founded and rapidly grew LearnLinc, a leading eLearning software
company, from 1994 through 2000. LearnLinc achieved 40% per quarter profitable
revenue growth, developed more than 100 clients from within the Global
2000, and raised two rounds of venture capital, including a round from
Intel Corporation. Mr. Usluel negotiated the acquisition of LearnLinc by
Mentergy (NASDAQ:MNTE) in 2000.
Following the acquisition, Mr. Degerhan Usluel assumed responsibility for the global
R&D organization and the ASP business of Mentergy. In this capacity,
he served as a Senior Executive and Board Member of a public software
company with $70 million in annual revenues.
Mr. Usluel received his MBA in 1994 from Rensselaer Polytechnic
Institute (RPI), in Troy, New York, and his B.S. in Electrical and Electronics
Engineering in 1992 from Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey.
